Box Styles
Over the years the style of the boxes used by Jouef for their rolling stock changed several times but during the successful years they were red and black.
Here are some examples of the box styles

The very early boxes were plain with picture of the contents |

The four wheeled wagons were available in boxes of two ............. |

The boxes carried pictures of the various models available |

The familiar red and black box was a cardboard lid to a polystyrene base |

The red and blue box had a polystyrene insert base which slid out |

The later blue box had a cardboard insert which could be adjusted to suit the model |
