Jouef produced
the Decauville range of models to HO scale running on 9mm gauge track and marketed them in the early 1960's
under the Playcraft
banner. They
then bought the Egger-Bahn range in the late 1960's and sold a small selection
together with Decauville, first under the original mark then under their own name
as Voie Étroite (VE) after the demise of Playcraft . The trains were promoted as
'un amour de petit train' or 'A cute little train', however inexplicably the range was not
promoted after 1972 and disappeared from the catalogues. They were
re-introduced in the mid 1980's but were inferior models to the originals and
this time disappeared without trace.
