New locos
this year consisted of the tremendous Class 141R 2-8-2 steam loco which, at
an exhibition in Le Bourget airport, Paris had hauled a train of 34 bogie
wagons up a 1 in 20
gradient without stalling. A nice Co-Co diesel CC72001
was also introduced but the black version of the 0-8-0 tank loco
disappeared. The signal gantry was introduced to complement the colour light signal
.
New coaches were limited to two 4 wheel models of vintage 19th century Parisienne
suburban design, which had also been marketed under the Playcraft label.
The freight side had a bogie tanker 'Butagaz' and a large bogie
cattle van (both just made it into the
Playcraft range) together with the original
bogie refrigerator van in 'Nestlés Lait' (milk) livery.
The Telecommande system was also
included with examples of various applications.
Slot cars were still going strong but the Brik system was now confined to
only one page.
1969 once again included 'Un amour de petit train' ('A cute little
train') with some more of the Egger-Bahn range added.
