This is a much sought after catalogue and introduced the North British diesel shunter D2705 and the North British Bo-Bo D6100. The range of locos available included the SNCF 231C Pacific, the SNCF Bo-Bo BB9201 and the freelance 0-4-0 tank loco 708.

The British Mark 1 coaches, marketed by Playcraft in the UK, were also introduced in this year in maroon only.

Other new items included the bogie flat wagon with tractor load, the well wagon with transformer load and the BR brake van.

On the accessories side the point and signal control switches were introduced.

Interestingly (or those fans of Playcraft Railways) the Jouef agent in the UK was given as 'The Mettoy Company' of London with repairs being carried out at 14, Harlestone Road, Northampton (the future home of Playcraft).
